Position is Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm with ability to work additional hours as needed.

Incumbent should reside within the Arvest 4 State Footprint (AR, KS, MO, OK) in order to be considered.

Summary:

Job Summary

The Professional Practices Audit Specialist works alongside divisional leadership to facilitate the Internal Audit Quality Assurance (QA) Program, ensuring alignment with the Institute of Internal Auditors' (IIA) Global Audit Standards. This role fosters a culture of continuous improvement by assisting in the identification of relevant team training, maintaining an up-to-date manual, communicating with senior leadership, and facilitating quality assurance reviews.

Responsibilities

● Contribute to the execution of the Quality Assurance and Improvement Program (QAIP) for internal and external quality reviews, including QA issues tracking and management.

● Provide meaningful input in the assessment of internal audit’s efficiency and effectiveness, identifying opportunities for improvement.

● Keeps abreast of company policies and procedures, current developments in the auditing profession and changes in regulatory requirements.

● Provide input into the guidance, training, and support of other team members in the completion of audit procedures included in the audit programs and the planning documents.

● Assist in keeping the manual current and in compliance with the Professional Practices Framework established by the Institute of Internal Auditors and Regulatory expectations.

● Develop skills in the use of audit software and other Arvest data systems and complete all training courses, as assigned.

● Contribute to special projects that may include participating in audit process development projects and development of improvement opportunities and strategic priorities.

● Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

● Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to, complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

● Other duties and special projects may be assigned.


Responsibilities:

Experience

● Required: 5 years of internal audit or equivalent risk management experience or 2 years of experience in a senior auditing role.

● Preferred: Experience in financial services audit or Institute of Internal Auditors' (IIA) Global Audit Standards.

● Demonstrated knowledge of internal controls, auditing methodologies and techniques, and risk assessments.

● Knowledge of the Institute of Internal Auditors' (IIA) Global Audit Standards.

● Strong knowledge of internal controls, auditing methodologies and techniques, and risk assessments.

● Effective communication skills, both in writing and in-person, and listen effectively to others.

● Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

● Relevant work experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree requirement.

● Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service members.

Education

Required: Bachelor’s degree

Credentials

Preferred: Certification as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) or Certified Financial Institution Risk Specialist (CFIRS).

● Must be able to operate a passenger vehicle and possess a current, valid driver's license.

● Ability to travel overnight, unaccompanied, within the United States via automobile and air is required, on occasion.

● The noise level in the work environment is typically low to moderate.

Pay Range: $62500 - $78125 per year
