About the Department
The Program Coordinator I provides technical and administrative support within Student Engagement and Success and serves as a resource for students, faculty, and staff regarding student success technologies and related services. This position supports student onboarding, orientation, and engagement initiatives while assisting with the administration and maintenance of student technology platforms.
Responsibilities include providing support for student information and engagement systems; assisting with system administration, troubleshooting, implementation, and maintenance activities; maintaining and updating content and resources; generating reports and providing data as needed; and supporting technology-based student services. The position develops and maintains training materials and instructional resources, provides guidance to students navigating online systems, and assists faculty and staff with technology-related processes and procedures.
The Program Coordinator I supports orientation and student success initiatives, assists with identifying and resolving operational issues, conducts assessments and surveys to evaluate student needs and services, and provides recommendations for continuous improvement. This position collaborates with faculty, staff, and departments across the college to support student engagement and success efforts. The successful candidate will participate in professional development activities, serve on committees as assigned, and perform other related duties as required
Position Duties
This position requires a bachelor’s degree plus relevant program experience.
Minimum Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have experience in student services, higher education, student success initiatives, or a related field. Experience working with Ellucian Colleague, EAB Navigate, student information systems, or other technology platforms used in higher education is preferred. A minimum of one (1) year of experience working with computerized student information systems or other technology software in a college or university environment is desirable.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; strong organizational and problem-solving abilities; and the ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently. Knowledge of higher education policies, procedures, and FERPA regulations is preferred. The candidate must possess strong technology skills, the ability to learn and support new software applications, and the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, staff, and community members in a fast-paced environment. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
