PAY RATE: $20 per hour
SUMMARY
Verifies and Maintains Medicaid/Social Security Benefits. Works closely with Medicaid and the Social Security Administration (SSA) to ensure continuation of benefits. Ensures eligibility for services through Health and Human Services (HHSC).
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Verifies prior to admission, the individual is eligible for services.
- Oversees completion of all Admission paperwork
- Completes benefit applications as needed.
- Responsible for updating critical information to SSA and HHSC.
- Monitors and updates authorizations and renewals.
- Monitors and applies for benefit renewals and maintains eligibility.
- Monitors and updates room and board agreements.
- Works closely with the business office, SSA, HHSC, families, individuals and programming to meet all conditions of payment for all lines of business.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
Qualifications:
- Experience in providing services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities, or related disorders preferred.
- Minimum age requirement is 18 years.
- Valid driver’s license, with a satisfactory driving record, as defined by ResCare’s vehicle policy.
- Capable of working responsibly with highly confidential information.
- Experience with Medicaid and Social Security Preferred
- Must be Detail Oriented
- Must meet all agency requirements for pre-employment as required by ResCare and/or State regulations
- Must have the ability to use a computer utilizing company documentation systems.
- Ability to communicate (verbally and written) with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the company.
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must maintain state regulatory certifications, as required by state/program requirements
