Job Description:

The Legal Entity Executive Group (LEEG), within the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) organization, is seeking a senior leader to support governance and oversight of Bank of America’s global legal entity structure. LEEG drives the strategy, governance, and simplification of the firm’s ~400 subsidiaries and branches, ensuring they effectively support business operations while meeting regulatory expectations. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain enterprise-wide visibility into how the bank is structured, governed, and managed. The individual will build strong partnerships across Lines of Business and key corporate functions—including Finance, Treasury, Risk, and Legal—while developing deep expertise in regulatory frameworks, corporate governance, and operational excellence. This role provides enterprise-level exposure to the structure and governance of a complex, global financial institution, opportunities to influence and strengthen governance practices across the firm, a broad network of senior stakeholders across multiple disciplines and geographies, development of strong business, financial, and regulatory acumen and experience in driving process improvement and operational excellence initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Subsidiary Governance – Enterprise Policy Program, which establishes minimum standards for governance, controls, reporting, and risk management across all subsidiaries
  • Maintain and enhance Policy content to ensure clarity, relevance, and alignment with evolving regulatory expectations and business needs
  • Oversee a monitoring and testing program to assess compliance with Policy requirements and drive issue identification and remediation
  • Partner with stakeholders globally to ensure consistent implementation and adherence to governance standards
  • Manage and enhance legal entity corporate data/information, supporting effective oversight of the full lifecycle of Bank of America’s legal entities (e.g., formation, changes, and dissolution)
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, simplify governance practices, and enhance operational efficiency
  • Requires an understanding of Finance, Accounting, Governance and Process Management

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years in the financial industry with experience in governance, policy, controls, process management, finance, treasury, accounting, risk, compliance and/or audit
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines
  • Significant experience with MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills
  • Attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with Senior Management
  • Strong collaboration, organizational skills and project management

Desired Qualifications:

  • Exposure to process design and automation, incl. use of tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, Workiva and Artificial Intelligence (Microsoft 365 Copilot and its agents (Designer, Researcher, Analyst)
  • Understanding of intercompany / legal entity transactions (for example, creation, merger, elimination and movement of capital between subsidiaries) 
  • Familiarity with financial statements
  • Familiarity with the regulatory environment of financial services industry
