How You’ll Make an Impact 

Are you looking to have a huge impact in a growing firm?  Do you love working with numbers and helping the company to be successful and profitable?  Do you have a communication style that can interact with all levels of the organization?  Then we are looking for you!  We are seeking a Project Accountant to join our team. This position is 100% remote with the option of working in one of our local offices, if desired.

Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Be a resource and assist Project Managers in maintaining the life cycle of the project from the notice of award to the final closeout
  • Set up projects, extra work orders, transfers, or other amendments according to contract terms in Deltek Vision
  • Assist with the creation and processing contracts
  • Review contracts for accounting specific requirements and ensure timely completion of all specialized client billing needs
  • Review project labor and expenses to ensure accurate posting to projects
  • Follow through on all billing related issues to resolution
  • Work closely with Project Managers and Directors to ensure accurate and consistent financial reporting and project billing
  • Invoice clients monthly
  • Respond to client, vendor, or staff inquiries in a timely fashion
  • Prepare accounts receivable statements and follow up on past due invoices
  • Handle project audits as they arise
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications 

 

  • College degree in Accounting or Finance and 1 to 2 years of relevant experience; or 3 to 4 years of relevant experience
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Well organized, detail-oriented, and excellent follow through
  • Ability to think critically and problem solve
  • Highly motivated to progress to the next level  
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative when needed
  • Excellent customer service skills: ability to effectively engage and communicate with different personality types
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have active personal automobile liability insurance by first day of employment
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have active personal automobile liability insurance by the first day of employment 

Preferred Qualifications 

 

  • Deltek Vision experience a plus
  • Ability to work overtime as needed

Compensation: $27-$32 hourly* 

*Final agreed-upon compensation will be based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s related experience, education, certifications, skills, and work location. Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check prior to beginning employment.

  • This job operates in a remote or office-based environment and this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, etc.
