Project Accountant Intern

As our Accounting Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting the financial operations of our organization. This role offers exposure to accounts payable, billing, compliance, and reporting processes. Successful interns demonstrate attention to detail, eagerness to learn, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

What you'll do

Accounts Payable & Vendor Support

Assist with processing vendor invoices and subcontractor requests for payment.

Help maintain compliance documentation, including lien waivers and insurance certificates.

Billing & Revenue Assistance

Support project managers in preparing monthly owner billings.

Assist with reconciling cash receipts and resolving variances.

Contract Compliance & Documentation

Help review subcontract agreements for accuracy and compliance.

Assist with maintaining organized records for claims and notices.

Month-End Close & Tax Review

Participate in month-end closing activities, including cost accrual preparation.

Assist with reviewing sales and use tax on purchases and billings.

What you bring to the team

Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting software preferred.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
