Responsibilities
Octave is seeking for a Business Analyst intern. A business analyst intern supports the project accounting department by performing daily pre-sales analysis, pricing calculations and contract reviews, sets up and manages labor subcontractor workorders and purchase orders, monthly subcontractor reporting and analysis, monthly pre-sales analysis, and assisting with other operational activities as needed. They typically work under the supervision of a manager to gain practical experience in project accounting business processes and analysis, usually while pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Pre-Sales: Processing pre-sales pricing requests, reviewing associated contracts, tracking, and analyzing pre-sales activity
• Labor Vendor/Subcontractor: Setting up vendor/subcontractor , journal entries, and month-end close activities
• Data Analysis & Research: Analyzing financial data, conducting research for audits, and assisting with internal cost activities.
• Administrative Tasks: Maintaining consistent file naming conventions and document storage
Education / Qualifications
Education: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), attention to detail, and good verbal/written communication skills.
• Attributes: Ability to work independently, professional demeanor, and high ethical standards.
