The Lockheed Martin FBM Program is seeking an experienced and skilled Project Engineer to join our component engineering team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
This role will require strong technical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Develop and maintain project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and test, to ensure that projects are properly planned and executed.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with projects, including technical, schedule, and budget risks.
• Develop and maintain project status reports, including progress, issues, and risks.
• Collaborate with program management to develop and maintain program-level plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
• Collaborate with other integrated product teams to ensure that projects are aligned with business objectives and customer needs.

Basic Qualifications
• Project engineering experience
• Willingness/eligibility to obtain/maintain a Secret Security Clearance - U.S. Citizenship Required
• Willingness/eligibility to obtain/maintain a Secret Security Clearance - U.S. Citizenship Required
Desired skills
• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline from an accredited college
• Experience with Microsoft Project and/or Open Plan
• Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering
• Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very sophisticated problems and implement constructive change
• Demonstrated ability to work with technical leads to manage cost, schedule, and technical scope
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience using JIRA or Version 1 or similar tools for project planning and tracking
• Experience throughout the engineering lifecycle (system definition, design, build, test, and operational deployment)
• Experience in Business Rhythm creation and management experience
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks associated with projects.
• Excellent presentation skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Certification in project management, such as PMI/PMP or Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP)

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
