Position Duties
This position oversees daily management of low-income housing properties and ensures they meet all Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and agency standards. As a Property Manager, you will perform the following duties:
- Property Oversight: Maintain housing sites through inspections, preventative measures, and coordination of necessary repairs
- Lease Administration: Prepare, explain, and enforce leases while addressing violations and completing required documentation
- Resident Communication: Respond to inquiries, build strong relationships, and work with tenant groups to support community involvement
- Staff Supervision: Guide and monitor staff performance, assign tasks, and review timecards and leave requests
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to HUD rules, agency policies, and all applicable laws across assigned properties
- Operational Reporting: Prepare required reports, track activities, and maintain accurate and organized tenant files
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Minimum Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three (3) years experience in supervising or performing tasks associated with the management of multi-family residential subsidized or affordable housing communities, property owned, or programs administered by a public housing authority or comparable (low-income) property management agency; or
- One (1) year as an Assistant Property Manager or Assistant Section 8 Coordinator; or
- Two (2) years as a Management Aide.

- Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Fayette County. If no eligible candidates who live within Fayette County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
