What you will do:
In this role, you will ensure compliance with state and federal laws by conducting audits of property tax exempt applications for both real and personal property while maintaining quality customer service.
Primary job duties include:
- Reviewing, examining, and processing property tax exempt applications to ensure compliance
- Providing customer service to taxpayers, taxpayer representatives, or county representatives
- Reviewing correspondence concerning denials and requests for additional information
- Reviewing customer accounts to verify receipt and status of applications
- Assisting taxpayers navigating MyDORWAY to submit applications, removing previously exempted real/personal property, and checking application status
Position Duties
Requires all of the following:
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Previous call center experience
- Data entry experience (keying preference of 35 - 50 wpm)
- Basic computer skills
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- A bachelor's degree and one year of experience in accounting, auditing, finance or tax preparation/analysis
- A bachelor's degree with multiple accounting courses
- An associate's degree and three years of experience in accounting, auditing, finance, or tax preparation/analysis
- A high school diploma and five years of experience in accounting, auditing, finance, or tax preparation/analysis

- Hours: Work hours are 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday (37.5 hours per week).
