Duties

You will plan, coordinate and direct the protocol office activities for NAVAIR/NAWC and NAS leadership.,You will act as focal point for conferences/symposiums hosted by Commander, NAVAIR, Commander, NAWCAD, PEOs, and CO NAS.,You will be responsible for the oversight and management of personnel assigned to the Protocol Office.,You will coordinate visits via verbal and written communications with high-ranking military and civilian officials, including the Secretary of Defense, Service Chiefs, Combatant Commanders, Members of Congress, and foreign dignitaries.,You will respond to visitor’s questions regarding the historical background of PAE(A), PAE(M), NAVAIR, NAWCAD, NAS, their missions, facilities, programs and capabilities

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band NH-03 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Planning, coordinating, and executing high-visibility special events, ceremonies, and conferences involving Distinguished Visitors (DVs), foreign dignitaries, and senior officials; 2) Applying official protocol procedures, customs, and courtesies to facilitate diplomatic communication and international relations; 3) Advising senior leadership on matters of official protocol, precedence, and diplomatic etiquette; and 4) Organizing and evaluating event logistics, resource requirements, and schedules to ensure the seamless execution of complex, short- and long-term engagements.
