About this role
The PRS Validation Lead is responsible for leading and coordinating end-to-end validation activities for propulsion systems across internal combustion (ICE), hybrid, and battery electric vehicle (BEV) programs.
This role serves as the central integration point across engineering, manufacturing, calibration, fleet operations, and quality, ensuring alignment of validation strategies and execution from early development through vehicle launch and production.
Operating in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, the Validation Manager drives program readiness by managing validation plans, coordinating resources, resolving technical issues, and ensuring robust performance of propulsion systems, including high-voltage architectures, charging systems, and conventional powertrain components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate validation activities across the full vehicle lifecycle, including development, launch, and production phases for ICE, hybrid, and BEV propulsion systems.
- Serve as the central program integration lead (VM), ensuring alignment across propulsion engineering, manufacturing, calibration, fleet support, and quality organizations.
- Develop and manage validation plans, including Design of Experiments (DOE), DVP execution, and overall test strategies covering high-voltage systems, charging, interoperability, and conventional propulsion functions.
- Oversee validation execution across plant, fleet, and test environments, including data collection, logging, analysis, and test result interpretation.
- Coordinate In-Plant validation activities, End-of-Line (EOL) readiness, and process standard alignment with engineering requirements.
- Manage issue identification, triage, and resolution by driving First-Level Analysis (FLA) and supporting root cause investigations across propulsion systems.
- Assess program risks, define containment and corrective actions, and ensure timely closure of validation, plant, and field issues.
- Coordinate required resources, including test facilities, fleet vehicles, tools, and engineering support, to meet program timing and deliverables.
- Provide clear and consistent reporting of validation status, risks, key issues, and readiness metrics to leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement of validation processes, standards, and cross-functional workflows across propulsion programs.
