Psychology Resident

Job Overview: 

• The Post-Doctoral Psychology Resident builds competence toward independent practice of psychology by delivering quality psychological services under supervision of the HSPP to patients across the lifespan via psychological assessment, individual psychotherapy, or group psychotherapy. This 12-month position may be renewed for an additional 12-month cycle. Consistently performs in a manner that exemplifies Deaconess standards for customer relations and patient satisfaction.

Education Qualifications

• Doctoral Degree (Ph.D./Psy.D.) from an APA-Accredited program in Clinical or Counseling Psychology. Required
• Successful completion of an APA-accredited or APPIC-member internship. Required

Experience Qualifications

• Experience and formal coursework in psychotherapy with children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and in the administration, scoring and interpretation of intellectual, educational and objective/projective personality testing of children and/or adults. Required

Licenses and Certifications

• The Post-Doctoral Psychology Resident will work under the supervision of the HSPP. Required
• The Post-Doctoral Psychology Resident will be eligible to pursue Licensure by the Indiana State Psychology Board as a Psychologist after meeting statutory requirements and is encouraged to pursue this licensure during their residency Required
• The Post-Doctoral Psychology Resident may also pursue endorsement as a Health Service Provider in Psychology during residency if they meet statutory requirements to do so. Required
