Public Area Attendant FT

Position Summary

At InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta, our Public Area Attendants play an essential role in creating exceptional first impressions for our guests. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall presentation of all public and back-of-house areas while delivering warm, genuine hospitality that reflects the InterContinental luxury experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of all public areas, including the lobby, restrooms, corridors, elevators, meeting spaces, fitness center, and employee areas.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, dust, polish, and sanitize assigned areas according to hotel standards.
• Replenish restroom supplies and ensure all public restrooms remain clean and fully stocked throughout the day.
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles in guest and back-of-house areas.
• Clean glass, mirrors, windows, metal fixtures, furniture, and other surfaces to maintain a polished appearance.
• Respond promptly to guest requests with professionalism, courtesy, and a service-first attitude.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and lost and found items to the appropriate department.
• Complete deep-cleaning projects and special assignments as directed by the Housekeeping leadership team.
• Maintain housekeeping equipment, carts, and storage areas in a clean and organized condition.
• Follow all hotel safety, sanitation, and chemical handling procedures.
• Work collaboratively with all hotel departments to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
• Adhere to all IHG Brand Standards, hotel policies, and departmental procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or hotel cleaning experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
