*Radiologic Technologist Apprentice

1. Participates primarily in clinical practicum, labs, and other activities as coordinated with the educational vendor. 
2. Assists members of the Radiology Team in maintaining the department schedule by transporting patients, maintaining supplies and equipment, maintaining the utility areas, changing over / and assisting in the radiographic rooms, and navigating the PACS system to review images and send for interpretation as needed  
3. Restocks and maintains patient care areas as assigned or directed. Assists in the care and handling of delicate, sophisticated, expensive equipment, i.e., Imaging and specialty equipment. 
4. Adheres to safety blood/body fluid and radiation safety policies and procedures.  
5. Processes digital images as requested by providers to CD or DVD format and/or sends electronically as required. 
6. Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality 
7. Demonstrate professional communication with patients and healthcare team members 
8. Follow departmental policies, safety standards, and workflow expectations 
9. Performs other work-related duties and activities as assigned or requested by his/her supervisor. 

• Ability to read, write and communicate in English 
• Minimum of High School Diploma/GED 
• Enrolled in an accredited Radiologic Technologist degree program 
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow precise instructions 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals 
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift and transport equipment and patients, and perform repetitive tasks 
• (Preferred) –Patient care experience within a healthcare setting 

Upon completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist degree program, the candidate will be moved into a Grade S14R Radiologic Technologist position.
