Located in Templeton amongst the oak trees, Adventist Health Twin Cities has been serving northern San Luis Obispo County since 1977. Comprised of a 122-bed acute care facility, our team provides exceptional care in emergency medicine, orthopedics, obstetrics, digestive disorders, wound care, and various medical, surgical and outpatient services. Job Summary:

Operates x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of body as ordered by physicians. Positions and instructs patients prior to examination, adjusts the x-ray equipment and determines proper voltage as well as current and desired exposure time for each radiograph. This position is represented by SEIU.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

  • Associate's Degree in radiologic technology or equivalent: Required

Licenses/Certifications:

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists â€" Radiography (ARRT-R): Required
  • Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
  • Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Required
  • Fluoroscopy (FLUORO): Required

Facility Specific License/Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required

Essential Functions:

  • Performs screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation. Explains procedures to patients and answers questions. Prepares equipment for use as needed. Prepares examination rooms for patient exams. Positions patients for imaging exams. Monitors patients and ensures safety during exams.
  • Produces diagnostic images. Documents exam information. Reports important information to the physician.
  • Verifies exams on PACS.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
