WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

This position supports CapMetro’s overarching hiring goals by assisting with sourcing, scheduling, candidate communication, basic screening, and administering employee onboarding activities. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn the fundamentals of talent acquisition and grow into a full-cycle recruiting position.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

•    Perform other duties as required and/or assigned. 
•    Assist in the management of the end-to-end recruitment life cycle, including sourcing, identifying, recruiting, and onboarding, to secure highly qualified candidates for vacant positions.
•    Utilize Oracle, Greenhouse, and LinkedIn Recruiter resources to identify top-tier talent through advanced Boolean search and niche platforms.
•    Interact with potential candidates via social media, professional networks, and career fairs, utilizing "out-of-the-box" techniques to build diverse talent pipelines.
•    Work cooperatively with hiring managers to troubleshoot recruitment challenges and provide advice on market trends, salary benchmarks, and effective selection activities.
•    Actively represent CapMetro at career fairs, community events, and professional networking functions to build a talent pipeline and promote open roles through direct engagement with prospective candidates.
•    Identify screening tools, interview question banks, and resources to assist hiring managers in achieving high-quality, standardized selections.
•    Represent CapMetro in the selection of advertising and during outreach efforts; assist in the development of employer branding and candidate care solutions, including creating and managing professional recruitment content across social media platforms to engage potential talent. 
•    Track and report on personal recruitment success using KPIs such as Time-to-Fill, Cost-per-Hire, and Quality-of-Hire to ensure consistent achievement of individual SLAs and scorecard targets.
•    Support the Safety Management Systems (SMS) process by following all safety/security policies and ensuring these standards are integrated into the onboarding mindset.
 

Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING

•    Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field.  Related experience may substitute for educational requirements on a year-for-year basis. 
•    One (1) year of experience working with high-volume external recruitment and internal mobility programs, with a proven track record in full-cycle talent acquisition and a dedicated focus on employees and administering or supporting candidate sourcing or the onboarding of new employees preferred
•    Experience with online application tracking systems and hands-on experience with sourcing techniques preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
•    Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office products with basic ability to work in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint in a Windows environment.  
•    Customer service mindset to positively present CapMetro and open roles to potential candidates 
•    Adaptability to consistently and positively contribute in a fast-paced changing work environment while prioritizing multiple functions and managing time efficiently. 
•    Work ethic, resourcefulness, and a healthy level of engagement in work responsibilities. 
•    Knowledge and understanding of employee recruiting and related state and federal regulations. 
•    Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and to maintain confidentiality. 
•    Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and the public. 
•    Excellent oral and written communications skills. 
•    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 
 

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS 
Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to unpleasant and/or hazardous working conditions. This position works with multiple project timelines and is responsible for managing employees performing work of a complex nature. 

Incumbent must have the ability to stand and sit frequently throughout an eight-hour period, reach vertically for overhead use as well as horizontally. Must be able to use a telephone or headset equipment. 
Incumbent must be able to lift and move material weighing up to 20 lbs., perform work at a computer terminal for 6-8 hours a day, and function in an environment with constant interruptions.

Mobility Status:
As a Remote position, your primary workplace is your home or another location in the state of Texas. The incumbent is expected to work in the office as needed and must have the ability to respond to a CapMetro facility within 24 hours if business needs require. Must be in-office for socialization, strategic collaboration, supervision, oversight, and accountability as needed. Mobility status is subject to change at any time based on business needs or organizational decisions.

This position is based in Austin, Texas. Successful out-of-state candidates must relocate to Texas before the start date and may work remotely anywhere in Texas after a set period.

SECURITY SENSITIVE POSITION 
This position has been identified as a “Security Sensitive” position.  CapMetro will conduct annual background checks on incumbents in this position.  A position is “Security Sensitive” if the incumbent handles currency, has access to sensitive computerized databases, has access to master keys, or works in an area of CapMetro that has been designated as a security-sensitive area
