Position Summary


The Recruiter is responsible for promoting the university to prospective students through various recruitment activities, including college fairs, high school visits, and campus tours, while serving as a primary point of contact for application information and serving as a representative for the university.


Essential Job Duties


• Travel to college fairs and high schools to engage with prospective students.
• Conduct campus and group tours discussing admissions requirements and scholarship opportunities.
• Communicate with students, parents, and counselors via multiple platforms.
• Assist in planning and executing recruitment events.
• Answer inquiries about campus life, requirements, and procedures.
• Prepare materials for recruiting events.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or designee.

Qualifications 


• Bachelor's degree 
• Strong background in higher education recruitment or admissions preferred


Licenses/Certifications


• Valid driver's license

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences
• Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
• Comprehensive knowledge of university programs, policies, and admission requirements
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules and manage multiple priorities effectively
• Proficient in using various communication platforms and computer programs
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
• Must have a strong work ethic and lead by example 
• Must be a professional, credible and respected representative of the institution internally and in the community
• Demonstrated willingness and ability to act ethically and socially responsible
• Ability to communicate in a courteous manner

Constantly required to remain in a seated position for extended periods
Constantly required to stand for extended periods
Constantly required to drive long distances
Frequently required to communicate effectively with diverse populations
Regularly performs tasks that involve repetitive wrist and finger movement
Regularly operates a computer and other standard office equipment
Occasionally required to work weekends, specifically Saturdays
Occasionally required to move about the office and similar spaces
Occasionally required to move materials weighing up to 50 pounds

Regular work is performed in a typical office setting with moderate noise levels.

 
The position requires frequent travel to college fairs and high schools, with occasional exposure to varying outdoor 
weather conditions during recruitment events and campus tours. It also includes repeated exposure to high noise levels during recruiting events.
