What We Offer:

Novant Health Pediatric Cardiology is seeking a part-time RN Ambulatory to support their main & satellite locations!

 

Work Schedule: Tuesday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, no weekends

 

In this role, you will primarily support our Midtown location while also providing coverage at our satellite clinics two days per week. This position offers the opportunity to work across multiple practice locations, collaborate with diverse care teams, and deliver exceptional patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. Satellite clinic locations include Cornelius, Carmel, and Waverly. The satellite work location may be determined based on residence and proximity to our clinic locations.

 

The Registered Nurse serves as a leader of the healthcare team at Novant Health by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system, collaborating with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care that promotes optimal health or supports a peaceful death. The Registered Nurse utilizes best scientific evidence and compassion to assist the patient in navigating their health journey. The Registered Nurse accepts responsibility, authority, and accountability for management and provision of care in accordance with the current policies and procedures.

 

What We're Looking For:
  • Education:  High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
  • Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification:
    • Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
    • ACLS, PALS, BAT and DOT; preferred.
What You'll Do:

Job responsibilities include:

  • Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints to support quality patient care and provider workflow.
  • Perform patient triage and assist with clinical assessments to determine appropriate care needs and priorities.
  • Apply and monitor cardiac event/heart monitors and perform EKGs, ensuring accurate diagnostic data collection.
  • Manage provider inboxes by reviewing, prioritizing, and responding to patient messages, prescription requests, and follow-up needs.
  • Complete and process FMLA and other medical documentation forms while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and timely submission.
