$55.00/hour
-
Additional $7.00/hour night shift differential for night shifts worked while floating to Deaconess Crossroads Hospital, Deaconess Illinois Medical Center, and Deaconess Union County Hospital.
What You'll Do
As a Float Pool RN, you'll provide direct patient care in a variety of clinical settings throughout the health system. You'll use evidence-based nursing practice to deliver safe, compassionate care while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to achieve the best possible patient outcomes.
Responsibilities include:

Provide direct, patient-centered nursing care for patients across assigned units.

Perform comprehensive patient assessments and identify actual or potential health concerns.

Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care.

Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.

Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.

Administer medications safely following established nursing standards and the six rights of medication administration.

Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in the electronic medical record.

Delegate care appropriately while supervising support personnel.

Promote a culture of safety by following infection prevention, quality, and regulatory standards.

Respond effectively to changes in patient condition using sound clinical judgment and critical thinking.

Maintain required competencies and participate in ongoing education and professional development.
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
-
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
-
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.

Minimum of one (1) year of professional nursing experience.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Acute care nursing experience.
