How You’ll Contribute
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. We have a Level 1 OB unit with couplet care and 7 Labor Delivery Rooms and 8 Post Partum rooms. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department. RN performs plan of care intervention including:
Essential Functions
Medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
Documents patient care given. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

What we’re looking for:
Applicants should have a current Arizona or compact state RN license and possess an associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
Graduate of a Registered Nursing Program required.
1 to 2 years of experience preferred.
Must have an active AZ or Compact RN License.
AHA BCLS required. If you have other than AHA, you will have 30 days from your date of hire to obtain your AHA BLS. ACLS, PALS, NRP and Handle with Care preferred.
