Position Duties
This position provides leadership and supervision to nursing staff to ensure safe, effective, and therapeutic patient care. The work supports consistent communication, strong clinical practices, and high standards across multiple care areas. As a Registered Nurse Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:
- Clinical Leadership: Oversee nursing care, guide staff, and monitor treatment practices across assigned areas
- Staff Development: Provide training, support ongoing education, and evaluate employee performance
- Care Coordination: Communicate with administrators, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to maintain continuity of care
- Safety Oversight: Promote a therapeutic environment and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Investigative Duties: Conduct patient abuse investigations in accordance with required guidelines
- Record Management: Maintain documentation, complete reports, and ensure accurate communication of patient information

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40-hour work week
- Work hours during training will be 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. After training, you will work the 2nd shift (3:00 PM to 11:30 PM), with a 30-minute lunch and rotating days off during the week. You will also be required to work every third weekend.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Minimum Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years as a Registered Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of professional nursing experience providing care and treatment services consistent with those needed for individuals with a mental or physical injury or illness and/or a developmental disability.
Special Requirements:
- You must possess active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
- All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
