About this role
Must live within a 50 mile radius of a hauling site in the Pacific Northwest market area.
I. Job Summary
Prepare, review, monitor or maintain contracts and ensure compliance of applicable rules and regulations. Research and prepare reports as needed. Serve in a senior-level advisory capacity for all contract matters within Area Public Sector Services.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
- Audits municipal contracts to verify compliance.
- Works with District Managers and others to resolve noncompliance issues.
- Partners with Legal staff and internal departments to manage, formulate, draft, review, and negotiate municipal contracts and agreements.
- Manages complex contracts to ensure effectiveness by monitoring contract's dollar balance and time remaining; recommending whether to extend an existing contract or prepare for bid process.
- Investigates and resolves inquiries regarding contract changes, complaints, discrepancies, disputes, defaults, contract cancellations, and claims.
- Provides recommendations and prepares corresponding documents for resolutions to management, as appropriate.
- Participates in strategic planning for municipal business within Area.
- Evaluates existing municipal contracts for new business opportunities and revenue growth.
- Coordinates team processes by reviewing daily activities, monitoring work, developing procedures for administering contracts, and training.
- Ensures compliance and stays abreast of all laws, rules and regulations applicable to the Area's municipal operations, and adherence to overallCorporate governance and business integrity standards.
- Advanced Excel expertise, including complex formulas, pivot tables, data modeling, and troubleshooting.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal direction while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to break down complex problems, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
- Self‑starter who takes initiative, anticipates needs, and drives tasks to completion without constant oversight.

This position does not have manage employees.
IV. Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.
A. Education and Experience
- Education: Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Business Administration, Public Administration or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four (4) years of relevant work experience.
- Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of previous system and contract management experience (in addition to education requirements).

C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
- Contract management experience may be required.

Pay: The expected base pay range for this position across the U.S. is $100,050 - $127,535. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
Employees will also receive discretionary time off, up to 80 hours of paid sick time per year and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Additionally, the Company has a leave pay policy that provides for up to 4 weeks of paid leave in a rolling 12-month period for qualifying leaves.
