Job Description
The Department of Environmental and Radiological Health Sciences (ERHS) houses academic, research and clinical programs that address the promotion of human and animal health. The mission of the department is to deliver excellent education in environmental and radiological health to prepare students to contribute to society; to conduct state of the art research in human and animal health focusing on environmental exposures and clinical applications; and to promote excellence in outreach and service to the citizens of Colorado, the United States, and globally through information transfer, research, continuing education and technical assistance. ERHS is unique in its multifactorial approach to disease that involves chemical, physical, and biological factors. ERHS provides undergraduate and graduate programs leading to BS, MS and PhD degrees.
Position Summary:
The Research Assistant will support research and evaluation efforts in community and occupational health and safety. They will assist in researching and evaluating practices for reducing injury and illness on the job requiring them to participate in and/or lead: data collection and analysis, creation of reports and presentations.
Essential Job Duties:
Support research and evaluation efforts in community health and occupational health & safety.
Conduct literature reviews
Conduct data collection and analysis
Prepare reports and disseminate findings
Conditions of Employment:
Pre-employment Criminal Background Check (required for new hires).
The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. by proposed start date; the department will not provide visa sponsorship for this position.

Minimum Qualifications:
BA or BS degree
Strong written and oral communication skills
Experience in qualitative or quantitative data collection and analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience or familiarity in environmental public health
Salary Range
