Research Scientist Intern, Organic Optoelectronic Materials (PhD) Responsibilities
- Materials and process development of new organic optoelectronic applications
- Synthesis and characterization of novel organic nonlinear optical materials
- Device fabrication and characterization based on novel nonlinear optical materials
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD degree in the field of Material Science, Organic Chemistry, Polymer Science, or a related field
- 3+ years experience with organic chemistry, organic optical/electric materials, or material/process design emphasizing materials synthesis and characterization
- 3+ years experience with experimental materials/process and conducting laboratory work (i.e., demonstrated ability to construct proof-of-concept systems and to evaluate performance)
- Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
Preferred Qualifications
- Intent to return to degree program after the completion of the internship/co-op
- Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents, as well as first-authored publications at leading workshops or conferences
- Experience working and communicating cross functionally in a team environment
Our internships are twelve (12) to twenty-four (24) weeks long and we have various start dates throughout the year.
