Advertised Job Summary

This position contributes to conducting research on age-related symptoms experienced by mothers who are carriers of the FMR1 premutation and have a child with fragile X syndrome. The research specialist will work with the faculty principal investigator and grant staff to contribute to a longitudinal NIH -funded research study conducting assessments, managing data, organizing findings and preparing reports. 

Required Education and Experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience conducting research
• Direct experience working directly with families of children living with neurodevelopmental disorders or/or adults with neurodegenerative disease
• Experience administering clinical standardized assessments
• Experience with REDCap data management software

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Work with diverse populations, including individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
