Welcome to Love's! Our Fresh Kitchen team is seeking a Restaurant Training Specialist responsible for strategically designing, delivering, facilitating, implementing, and continuously maintaining comprehensive training systems across all branded restaurant concepts. Supported brands include, but are not limited to, Arby’s, Carl’s Jr., Hardee’s, Taco John’s, Bojangles, Buffalo Wild Wings GO, Subway, Godfather’s, Naf Naf Grill, Chester’s, and other current or future franchise brands within the company’s portfolio. This role develops and maintains training manuals, job aids, learning resources, branded learning platforms, assignments, and learning paths to ensure content remains accurate, aligned with brand standards, and current with operational, system, process, and policy changes.

The position supports employee growth and retention by helping restaurant operators and team members gain the knowledge, skill, and confidence needed to achieve operational and business objectives. The Restaurant Training Specialist partners with Area Food Managers, Brand Champions, operations leaders, subject matter experts, Talent Development, Field Senior Managers of Food Service, and the Director of Food Service to support consistent training execution, field readiness, compliance, and operational excellence.

 

 

Job Functions:

  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of branded training programs, QSR partner requirements, and company operational protocols; ensure training programs are implemented consistently across the organization.
  • Design, develop, update, and maintain branded training materials, courses, procedure manuals, job aids, learning resources, and other documentation to reflect current best practices, brand standards, operational standards, and business needs.
  • Manage branded learning platforms across the organization, ensuring training content, assignments, learning paths, and related resources remain accurate, aligned, and up to date.
  • Facilitate instructor-led, virtual, classroom, webinar, meeting-based, and hands-on training sessions to support restaurant operators, managers, and team members.
  • Support new brand rollouts, system implementations, process changes, policy changes, and training program updates by creating clear training resources and rollout support materials.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings to address new training requests, gather requirements, clarify expectations, and align training solutions with company objectives.
  • Conduct training needs assessments to identify skill gaps, field execution opportunities, and development needs across branded restaurant operations.
  • Evaluate the impact and effectiveness of training programs through assessments, observations, completion tracking, performance metrics, and operational results; identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Create and manage metrics, reporting, and follow-up processes to evaluate store/restaurant performance, reinforce accountability, and support continuous improvement.
  • Maintain training records and monitor completion of required learning programs, including compliance-related training requirements and completion rates.
  • Coach managers and team members on training best practices, learning execution, operational standards, and performance improvement opportunities.
  • Act as a knowledgeable resource for branded and QSR partner concepts by addressing training-related questions, resolving issues efficiently, and supporting operational success.
  • Partner with operations leaders, Area Food Managers, Brand Champions, Talent Development, and subject matter experts to ensure training aligns with Love’s standards, brand expectations, and field needs.
  • Support the training function by completing technical, administrative, communication, and project-related tasks as needed to ensure smooth program execution.

 

Experience and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Training, Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 2–5 years of experience in training, learning and development, restaurant operations, food service operations, or a related field preferred
  • 3+ years of food or restaurant industry experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience developing training materials and facilitating learning sessions in a corporate, field, restaurant, or operations environment.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operational standards, branded concept requirements, and field execution practices.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously from introduction through completion while maintaining quality, timeliness, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Track record of success in fast-paced, team-oriented environments where collaboration, adaptability, ownership, and accountability are essential.
  • Exhibited a strong customer service orientation, complemented by refined active listening abilities and prudent decision-making to determine when to escalate matters or resolve them autonomously.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, web-based training systems, and branded learning platforms.
  • Problem-solving, analytical thinking, and data assessment skills to evaluate training effectiveness and make informed recommendations.
  • Self-starter mentality with a high degree of initiative, ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Adaptability, resilience, and commitment to continuous improvement in a fast-paced operating environment.
  • Ability to build strong partnerships, influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization, and work effectively across departments.

Physical Demands and Travel

  • Scheduling flexibility required.
  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
  • Occasional travel is expected; travel may be local or out of state, and some overnight travel may be required.
