The Member Service and Benefits Division of the Arizona State Retirement System is seeking an individual to fill the Analyst Team Supervisor.
Duties include:
- Plans, motivates, schedules and prioritizes workload and supervises staff who respond to member secure messages, perform quality assurance evaluations, run reports, and manage educational trend data in a timely, effective and professional manner
- Understand, write, review and stay informed on all ASRS member and employer benefits, programs, and functional-business unit specific policies, processes and procedures and legislative updates
- Recommend creative changes to accommodate development and on-going improvements and updates needed for MSD business needs both within team and across the division
- Compiles and prepares information for detailed weekly, monthly and targeted reports
- Conduct performance reviews and professional development plans if needed
- Provide statistical and analytical support to MSD and across the agency
- At least six months ASRS experience
- Highly effective communication skills in order to write/speak with impact and collaborate with all levels of staff
- Active listening skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proven ability to interpret and clearly explain complex system policies and procedures via both oral and written communication
- Proven forward-thinking, problem-solving and analytical abilities that lead to creative, implementable solution
- Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines with accuracy
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to multitask within a project-heavy environment on an independent basis, as an actively contributing team member, and as leader of special project teams consisting of peers and superiors
- Can identify/analyze organizational and/or procedural problems, and select and implement proper resolutions
- Adaptable to cope with changing priorities
- Ideal candidate will have one year of supervisor/leadership experience and a four-year college degree in business, public administration or related field OR one year experience and/or training in statistics, statistical modeling, organizational process improvements, and cost-benefit analysis
