Position Overview:



Eligible for a hybrid work schedule split between home & office, with a minimum of 3 days in the office each week. 

 

The Risk Services Coordinator supports the day-to-day administration of workers’ compensation claims and serves as a valuable resource for injured employees and external claims partners. This role requires frequent phone and email communication, accurate recordkeeping, and detailed documentation of claim activity. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-service focused, and comfortable handling sensitive information with professionalism and care. While the primary focus is workers’ compensation, the position may also provide support across other Risk Services initiatives as needed.

Here’s more of what you’ll get to do:



  • Serve as a liaison between injured employees, claims adjusters, and medical providers to support a smooth claims experience.
  • Manage and distribute incoming correspondence, ensuring timely handling of important documents.
  • Coordinate subpoena requests and legal documentation while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Support claims adjusters and legal counsel by gathering and providing requested information.
  • Maintain accurate claim records and coding in internal systems and with our Third-Party Administrator.
  • Prepare wage statements and workers’ compensation documentation.
  • Complete and submit state-specific workers’ compensation forms as needed.
  • Coordinate medical bill submissions and respond to provider billing inquiries.
  • Manage the distribution of required medical panel postings and workers’ compensation notices.
  • Partner with restaurants, adjusters, nurse case managers, and internal teams to communicate employee work status updates.
  • Collaborate with the Benefits team to support leave-of-absence processes and accommodations.
  • Prepare and distribute personnel records and supporting documentation while ensuring data privacy and compliance.

What we require:



  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, with the ability to read, write, and speak both languages fluently.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a professional office environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including professional phone etiquette.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
