Job Description: Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Intern

The Robotic Process Automation Intern identifies opportunities to automate repetitive workflows within the manufacturing facility. This role involves mapping processes, designing and developing automation bots, and deploying solutions in collaboration with IT and operations teams. By streamlining tasks such as data entry, reporting, and system integration, the RPA Intern helps improve efficiency, reduce errors, and support the plant’s digital transformation initiatives for engine manufacturing.

Skills / Competencies

  • Basic understanding of automation concepts and RPA tools (e.g., UiPath, Microsoft Power Automate).
  • Familiarity with programming/scripting languages (e.g., C#, Python).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic knowledge of data warehousing concepts and cloud platforms (e.g. AWS) is a plus but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing systems is a plus but not required.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Assist in identifying and documenting processes suitable for automation within the manufacturing facility.
  • Support the development, testing, and deployment of RPA solutions.
  • Collaborate with business units and IT integrate automation tools with existing systems.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot automated workflows.
  • Document automation procedures and provide training/support to end users.
  • Participate in lean initiatives and process improvement projects.
  • Document findings and present recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Participate in meetings and contribute to process improvement discussions.
