POSITION:
RoNetco On-Site Junior IT Support Specialist and Software Developer
Range - $20-$26/hourly
Scope
Responsibilities revolve around Ronetco’s information technology, including hardware and software, as well as all other company office automation equipment and machines (i.e. printers, photocopiers, fax machines, etc.) This includes assisting in the evaluation and installation of new PC hardware and software (including upgrades), and responding to associates’ needs as it relates to technological issues. Responsibilities also include the completion of all phases of technology related projects as assigned.
Specific Duties:
- Develop new web applications as needed using current languages
- Support standard hardware platforms and systems installed throughout our retail locations.
- Troubleshoot and repair all technology hardware including PC’s, servers, hardware, Point of Sale Systems, Network hardware, RF hardware, and printers.
- Provide complete recoverability of systems and applications.
- Installation of new hardware and software.
- Meet goals for repair standards, for service level agreements, and other measurable metrics
- Provide remote support for hardware and software
- Maintain equipment inventory controls and policies.
- Interface with all Ronetco associates, groups, and department for on-site support and technology resolutions.
- Documents all work performed for accurate accountability and issue tracking
- Ensure the physical and cyber safety and security off all Ronetco’s Information Technology assets
- Collaborates with Ronetco vendor’s when necessary to ensure proper and timely resolution to issues and IT project implementation
- Escalates unresolvable issues to management
- Completes tasks assigned by management and documents results
Requirements
- Associates Degree or Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in an IT related course of study. May be substituted with technology related certifications.
- This position is located at our corporate office in Ledgewood, NJ. It is not a remote position.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to effectively present technical information
- Working knowledge of IT hardware, installation models and Windows, MS Office and related applications.
- Fundamental understanding of Linux operating systems
- Fundamental understanding of Databases and database development
- Fundamental knowledge and understanding of current web development applications including PHP, JAVA, HTML5, Python and others
- Knowledge of COBOL a plus
- Ability to follow written/verbal instructions, defines problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to work independently and be a strong collaborative partner in a complex organization
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of equipment, some twisting and turning with equipment installs.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, day, evening and overnight based on need and special projects
- Strong sense of urgency, business ethics, dependability and follow through.
- Demonstrates a desire to learn new and existing technologies
