- The Sales Associate provides world-class customer service to Marine Corps Exchange (MCX) patrons, with an emphasis on courtesy, professionalism, and customer loyalty. The incumbent serves as a brand ambassador for MCCS and MCX programs and supports daily retail operations in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Key responsibilities include: Providing friendly, professional, and proactive customer service in all retail interactions. Vending item loading: Receives, loads, and delivers vending merchandise to assigned machine locations. Product rotation: Removes aged or expired food and merchandise from machines. Merchandise replenishment: Restocks machines and records required documentation. Price and brand monitoring: Ensures correct stocking levels and compliance with approved selling prices. Machine sanitation: Cleans interior and exterior surfaces to meet sanitation standards. Minor machine repairs: Clears coin jams, removes obstructions, and performs basic troubleshooting. Cash collection: Collects money from machines and turns it in to the supervisor or designated cashier. Vehicle operation: Drives a motor vehicle (GVW up to 10,000 lbs) on installation routes under limited traffic conditions. Identifying and reporting potential loss prevention concerns. Assisting with year-end inventory and other operational needs as assigned. Adhering to safety, EEO, and sexual harassment prevention standards. Other related duties: Performs additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications

Key responsibilities include: Skills & Knowledge Basic vehicle operation: Skill to start, stop, maneuver, and back up a motor vehicle safely. Vehicle dimension awareness: Knowledge of vehicle height, width, length, and weight for safe operation. Map and locator reading: Ability to read installation maps and locator documents to identify buildings and facilities. Cargo loading: Ability to load and arrange cargo to prevent shifting, falling, or breakage. Driver's license: Possession of a valid driver's license. Responsibility Route instructions: Receives route or trip assignments from the supervisor. Independent machine servicing: Independently fills, cleans, and maintains vending machines. Work evaluation: Work is reviewed for timeliness, proper stocking, and safe/accurate handling of funds. Physical Effort Light to moderate physical activity. Requires bending, stooping, lifting, and stocking. Lifting requirements: Lifts and carries up to 50 lbs independently; over 50 lbs with assistance. Working Conditions Indoor/outdoor work: Works both inside and outside; occasionally exposed to adverse weather. Driving conditions: Drives in all types of weather. Hazard exposure: Potential exposure to cuts, bruises, and broken bones. Protective gear: Must wear issued protective equipment.Requirements
