We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Scrum Master/Business Analyst to join a fast-growing AI and Data Analytics team who is focused on Generative AI and deep learning initiatives within the renewable energy domain. In this role, you will work closely with solar, wind, and battery energy data, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and modern analytics platforms.

This position is based at Deriva Energy’s Headquarters in Charlotte, NC.
Main Responsibilities
Serve as Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams, ensuring Agile/Scrum best practices are followed
Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
Remove impediments and help the team maintain a consistent delivery cadence
Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile principles and continuous improvement
Partner with product owners and engineering leads to ensure clear priorities and realistic sprint commitments
Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Work closely with stakeholders across asset management, operations, engineering, and analytics
Translate renewable energy business needs (solar, wind, battery) into clear technical requirements
Support backlog grooming and prioritization in collaboration with product owners
Validate delivered solutions against business requirements and support UAT efforts
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
In addition to a bachelor's degree, one (1) year or more of experience in a Scrum Master, Business Analyst, or hybrid role
In lieu of a bachelor’s degree in a related field, high school diploma/GED AND five (5) years or more years of related work experience
Desired Qualifications
Three (3) years or more of experience in a Scrum Master, Business Analyst, or hybrid role
Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent)
Experience working with data, analytics, or software engineering teams
Proven experience leading Agile teams in a Scrum environment
Strong understanding of renewable energy businesses, specifically solar, wind, and battery storage
Experience writing user stories, process flows, and functional requirements
Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar
Background in energy analytics, asset performance, or market operations
