Seasonal RedZone Production Assistant

The NFL Media Group located in Inglewood, CA is looking for a seasonal, part-time NFL RedZone Production Assistant. This position will report to the Coordinating Producer for NFL RedZone.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with editors to support content for NFL RedZone
• Responsible for watching a game and producing multiple highlights for NFL RedZone halftime fill segments
• Transcribing interviews, press conferences, and other related sound to be edited for NFL RedZone
• Take direction from show Producers to enhance content on NFL RedZone
• Must be able to respond quickly under tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities while NFL RedZone is live on air
• Good communication and writing skills are required
• Daily adherence to established production schedules to meet deadlines
• Responsible for archiving important video, teleprompting shows and other various tasks related to the production of NFL RedZone

Required Qualifications

• Strong NFL knowledge (present day & historical)
• Strong editorial judgement and attention to detail/organizational skills
• Ability to decipher the most important and up-to-date information for NFL stories & live game action during NFL RedZone
• Strong understanding of workflows in control rooms and edit environments
• Strong writing skills
• Have a good knowledge of the NFL and sports history
• Ability to perform basic statistical and info-based research

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism or equivalent experience in a related field 
• Previous professional experience in a TV production environment is strongly preferred
• Basic understanding of linear editing and on-air graphics systems

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

• Sunday availability from 7:30am to 4:30pm
• Overtime may be required on any given NFL RedZone Sunday
• Seasonal employment up to 7 months

Salary / Pay Range
