Job Summary:
We are seeking a Returns Pharmacy Technician to join our growing team in Elizabethtown KY. This role is vital in managing the receipt, documentation, and processing of returned medications from client facilities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and motivated to support safe medication practices within an LTC pharmacy environment.

Schedule: Part-time  9:00 AM – 5:30 PM.

Responsibilities:
  • Receive and inspect returned medications from client facilities.
  • Document and process returns in compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations.
  • Safely dispose of expired or non-returnable medications following pharmacy protocols.
  • Coordinate with inventory and compliance teams to ensure accurate tracking.
  • Restock eligible returned medications after pharmacist review and approval.
  • Maintain clean, organized returns and inventory areas.
  • Rotate medication stock to ensure adherence to expiration guidelines.
  • Prepack bulk medications for use by floor staff as needed.
  • Support controlled substances room operations (experience preferred)
  • Adhere to all pharmacy standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the pharmacy team to support daily workflow and operational goals.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Kentucky-licensed Pharmacy Technician.
  • Previous pharmacy experience preferred, especially in long-term care.
  • Experience with data entry and inventory systems (preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently.
  • Must be reliable and able to perform physical tasks, including light lifting.
