Our Newest Opportunity: 

Summary

This 10-week, paid internship will give you hands-on experience at one of the nations’ fastest growing strategic advisory firms. In this program, interns will have a wide variety of responsibilities within the IT Security department of OneDigital, focusing on a path to employment upon graduation. This is a summer 2026 opportunity with daily workloads and schedules set by the Senior Director of IT Security.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Shadow team members within Security Operations, Governance, and Identity Management to provide support using the Microsoft security suite and start to learn the basics of protecting a large-scale enterprise.

Departments: Security Operations (SecOps)

  • Shadowing the response process for security alerts and incident investigations.

  • Organizing data for phishing simulation campaigns and analyzing employee reporting trends.

  • Perform additional duties within our SIEM and endpoint protection platforms to identify potential threats.

Departments: Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC)

  • Shadowing preparation for SOC 2 Type 2 audit evidence collection.

  • Assisting with documentation for third-party risk assessments and security policies.

  • Using project management and communication skills to work with experienced teams in identifying requirements for the CIS Top 18 control alignment.

Departments: Identity & Access Management (IAM)

  • Supporting existing and new SSO integration projects within Microsoft Entra ID.

  • Assisting with user access reviews and the deployment of phishing-resistant MFA.

Departments: Vulnerability Management

  • Shadowing the identification and prioritization of system vulnerabilities.

  • Assisting with the tracking of remediation efforts across various business units.

  • Additional assignments as identified by management.

Qualifications, Skills, and Requirements:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, while meeting or exceeding deadlines.

  • Effective written and oral communication skills across a variety of audiences.

  • Must be self-motivated and disciplined.

  • Strong research and problem-solving skills.

  • Positive, upbeat attitude and a passion for cybersecurity.

Education, Training and Experience:

  • A rising Junior or rising Senior with an expected graduation date of either 2026 or 2027.

  • In pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to: Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.

  • Comfortable working with others in various environments.

The typical base pay range for this role nationwide is $19 per hour

Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance.
