About the Department
Responsible for conducting daily rounds and documenting; provide surveillance of buildings and grounds, respond to calls for assistance, participate and assist in all emergency codes. Will participate in patient searches, grounds, and building searches, assist with elopements/AWOLs. Prepare trip tickets, schedules patient trips, assist with maintaining hospital key system, and completes other related duties as assigned. Mandatory overtime is an essential function of this position. This is a tobacco free campus. Applicants selected for employment must successfully complete a chemical urinalysis and breath analysis drug screening. All employees shall be subject to drug and alcohol testing for probable cause as set forth in bureau and agency policies. Applicants selected must successfully complete a background check.

The hospital offers a wide range of services to patients either committed to the hospital through civil commitment or, in the case of forensic patients, ordered through the judicial system.
