As a Security Officer - Afternoon Distribution Center Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor access points, screen individuals and materials, and support site procedures to help protect people, property, and operations. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, document incidents, and help deter security-related concerns. Pay Rate: $18.25 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen individuals, packages, and/or vehicles entering designated areas in accordance with site procedures; report irregularities or prohibited items to appropriate site contacts.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry to restricted operational areas, helping to deter unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the facility perimeter, to identify and report security-related concerns or unusual conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
