As a Security Officer Unarmed Bicycle Route Patrol in West Hollywood, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will ride a bicycle throughout assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. You will interact professionally with the public, communicate observations clearly, and support a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, residents, employees, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of public areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, helping to deter unauthorized entry and maintain orderly conditions.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, incident documentation, and communications records in accordance with site procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to ride a bike is required.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
