Job Summary
As a Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst, you will monitor our client’s environment for cyberthreats. This position is onsite Monday - Friday, 6am-2pm.Job Description
We are in need of a Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst. This is an onsite, salaried position in La Verne, CA.
CAI is willing to support individuals in this role in attaining one security certification during the time of employment. Details to be provided.
You will work with seasoned Cybersecurity professionals with extensive experience. Many have spoken at conferences such as BlackHat, DEFCON, RSAC and BSides. This is a great opportunity to start your Cyber career and learn from the best.
Due to the specific legal and contractual requirements associated with this position, only U.S. citizens will be considered for this role.
This position is a weekday 1st shift, Monday– Friday mornings, 6:00am - 2:00pm
What You’ll Do
Provide direct support to client’s team and efforts
Monitor for cyberthreats
Conducting cyber-threat hunting
Support cyber incident response activities
On-site analysts may be assigned to the cyber incident response team as the situation may dictate
What You’ll Need
Required:
6 months -1 year of general experience or coursework related to cybersecurity, IT security, or network monitoring
Familiarity with security tools, alerting systems, or log analysis
Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking
Understanding of Windows Core Processes
Understanding of Authentication, Authorization, Accounting Processes and Methods
Ability to follow structured processes, document findings, and escalate issues
Excellent communication skills- written and verbal
Able to work independently, requiring minimal supervision to accomplish work
Excellent organizational skills
Able to multitask effectively and balance multiple projects at once
Able to participate in an on-call rotation
Preferred:
Cybersecurity certifications such as, ISC(2) CC, ISC(2) SSCP, CompTIA Security +, CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst +, or other relevant certifications
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard and monitor
