As a Security Guard Patrol Assignment in Oakland, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support travelers and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $25.90 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout platforms, waiting areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
• Monitor access points and assist with screening visitor activity, restricted area entry, and/or credential checks in support of site rules and government-related protocols.
• Support daily operations by observing for unusual activity, helping to deter unauthorized behavior, and communicating professionally with the public and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
