GENERAL PROMOTIONAL OPPORTUNITY

This recruitment is a General Promotional Opportunity and is limited to current Fresno County employees occupying a permanently allocated position who meet the minimum qualifications and filing requirements specified in this announcement; permanent status is not required. The Fresno County Administrative Office invites applications for the position of Senior Administrative Analyst and Principal Administrative Analyst. The incumbent will conduct budgetary review and analysis, oversee projects, and perform administrative and operational assignments to support efficient County operations and ensure effective service delivery.

Minimum Qualifications

Senior Administrative Analyst Minimum Qualifications:
 
Education: Possession of a bachelor's degree that is acceptable within the United States' accredited college or university system.
 
Experience: Three (3) years of full-time, paid work experience in budgetary review and analysis, or project oversight which included managing timelines, objectives, and the preparation of board agenda items. 
 
Substitution: Possession of a master's degree that is acceptable within the United States' accredited college or university system may be substituted for one (1) year of the required experience.
 
License: Possession of a valid Class "C" driver's license, or equivalent, may be required.
 
Principal Administrative Analyst Minimum Qualifications:
 
Education: Possession of a bachelor's degree that is acceptable within the United States' accredited college or university system.
 
Experience: Four (4) years of full-time, paid work experience in budgetary review and analysis, or project oversight which included managing timelines, objectives, and the preparation of board agenda items. 
 
Substitution: Possession of a master's degree that is acceptable within the United States' accredited college or university system may be substituted for one (1) year of the required experience.
 
License: Possession of a valid Class "C" driver's license, or equivalent, may be required.

SELECTION PROCESS:
Pursuant to Fresno County Personnel Rule 4 - Selection Process, applicants may be required to complete an examination process and successful candidates will be placed on an employment list effective for a minimum of 3 months and certified in final rank order as vacancies occur.

  • The eligible list for this recruitment may be extended up to 6 months, and may be used to fill both extra-help and permanently allocated positions. 
  • Individuals selected for extra-help appointment may be transitioned to a permanently allocated position at a later date as authorized by the Fresno County Personnel Rules.
