Senior Advisor, IT Data Center Operations

SUMMARY

Performs IT functions such as design, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging and implementation of applications programs supporting company business processes and operations. Provides operational support for systems hardware, peripherals and software within data centers and related facilities. Works in conjunction with the technical support staff to implement immediate resolutions to more critical problems. Monitors and manages systems consoles for the following: problems, systems availability, production scheduling and control, reports distribution, service level support, administration and controls, equipment operation, backup recovery, procedural documentation, and execution of the disaster recovery plan.

• Use for jobs that responsible for developing/maintaining internal systems and tools. Jobs that are responsible for developing products that are sold to customers should use Engineering R&D jobs.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Conducts periodic inspections of assigned data centers to ensure policies are being upheld
• Responsible for floor space allocations and related rack and rack peripheral infrastructure build out to accommodate hardware installations and moves
• Responsible for management of data center operations–owned inventory, generating and communicating data center metrics
• Communicates provisions of data center policies and standards to the corporation and facilitates customer understanding of processes and procedures
• Plans and coordinates with various cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure present and future capacity/scalability
