About this role
At REI, we believe life is better outside—and the products we create help make that possible. We’re looking for a Senior Costing Analyst to join our Co-op Brands team and play a critical role in shaping ‘how’ our product comes to life.
In this role, you own target costing for Co-op Brands Apparel and Gear, ensuring our products meet financial targets while staying true to quality, sustainability, and performance expectations. Your work directly influences design decisions, sourcing strategies, and margin outcomes across seasons.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Own execution of target costing.
- Set and manage seasonal feasible IMU targets, informed by economic trends and department plans.
- Own accuracy and ongoing maintenance of cost data in PLM (Enovia).
- Partner closely with Asia Costing, Product Development, Planning, Trade Compliance, and Logistics.
- Analyze impacts of labor rates, duties, tariffs, and freight changes to product costs and overall planned margins.
- Work cross functionally to provide costing insights at key milestones and educate developers/designers on opportunities to mitigate costing risks/exposure
What success looks like
You are someone who blends analytical rigor with strong collaboration. You’re comfortable influencing cross-functional partners and translating complex cost drivers into actionable insights. You keep details tight, timelines on track, and teams aligned.
What you bring
- 5+ years of experience in product development, sourcing, or product costing.
- Strong understanding of cut-and-sew manufacturing and Asian-based production.
- Hands-on experience with cost sheets, BOMs, labor costing, and SMVs.
- Proven ability to deliver clear IMU and costing reports to business partners.
- Experience working with PLM systems and strong Excel skills.
- Knowledge of trade compliance, duties, tariffs, and freight impacts on landed cost.
