AWS S3/Glacier Finance seeks a world class Senior Finance Manager for the Object Storage (S3) business. This position will serve as a strategic leader who work closely with senior leadership to drive thoughtful analysis and controllership in the S3 services space.
Key job responsibilities
- Controllership & Reporting: Manage capital spend reporting, track KPIs, and perform variance analysis across planning, forecasting, and reporting cycles.
- Strategic Finance Leadership: Set and track critical business goals that are key inputs to pricing decisions across Storage and other AWS services. - Contribute to driving improved AWS free cash flows.
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Build complex financial models and analytical tools to set and track overall financial performance against goals. - Lead OP and R&O CapEx planning, and weekly/monthly utilization and CapEx reviews with AWS senior leadership.
- Process Improvement: Be a thought leader to improve and simplify processes, drive standardization, and build scalable solutions to support business growth.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of Finance Managers and Senior Financial Analysts. Build and develop a high-performing team capable of operating in a complex, fast-paced, and ambiguous environment.

Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 10+ years of positions that require analysis and reporting financial results experience
- 8+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 8+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 8+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
- 10+ years of positions that require analysis and reporting financial results experience
- 8+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 8+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 8+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of hiring, leading and developing teams experience
- 8+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- 8+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 8+ years of mentoring junior finance and/or business team members experience
- 5+ years of working with senior staff (e.g. c-suite) experience
- MBA, or CPA

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
