We are presently seeking an individual to provide overall support to ensure the success of daily operations of the Human Resources Department.
As a successful Senior Human Resources Generalist, you will:
- Guide managers with employee performance improvement plans, disciplinary and other corrective actions
- Conduct employment-related investigations
- Ensure appropriate documentation is maintained for all employee actions
- Coordinate and assist with the termination process
- Work with employees and management to resolve employment issues
- Assist with leave administration for FMLA, disability, workers compensation, military and personal leaves of absence ensuring adherence to federal, state and local leave laws and internal policies
- Accurately track leave documentation
- Keep supervisors and employees aware of approved leave and returns to work
- Assist with the identification and resolution of Human Resources compliance and departmental improvements
- Assist with benefits administration and invoice processing
- Provide back up to the Payroll and Benefits functions, as needed
- Assist in the coordination of the annual Employee Performance Review process
- Participate in onboarding of new hires as needed
- Process unemployment claims/appeals; coordinate and participate in unemployment hearings
- Provide assistance and back-up to the Human Resources Manager
- Special projects as assigned
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned
- A minimum of 3-5 years of Human Resources experience. Multi-state, multi-site experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field preferred
- 2 – 3 years benefits administration experience
- 2 – 3 workers’ compensation and disability claims administration experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer service focus
- Detail oriented with strong organizational, time management, and follow-through skills
- Ability to multitask and be a team player in a fast-paced environment
