Position Summary
As a Senior Software Project Manager, you will be responsible for engaging project stakeholders and product owners to lead the delivery of digital solutions for STERIS.
You will act as a project facilitator, working with Customer and Internal stakeholders to deliver digital products and services, building connected, intelligent environments across the healthcare and surgical supply chain markets. Your primary task will be coordinating the planning and end-to-end orchestration of IT projects. You will lead multiple teams comprised of technical and sector experts, collaborating closely to define timelines and resource plans. You are focused on delivering projects on time and to budget. Collaborating with other Project Managers, together with Architects, Technical Business Analysts and Digital Business Partners, you will form the Healthcare Digital Consultancy to represent the centre of excellence for modern, connected, digital enablement thinking within STERIS.
What You'll Do as a Senior Project Manager
- Control and communicate project scope, define success criteria and use data-driven approaches to keep the team focused on success.
- Proactively manage projects, ensuring effective planning and scheduling of project resources to deliver projects within time and budget constraints.
- Prepare realistic and achievable project plans, actively monitor progress and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Maintain excellent communication channels with customers and stakeholders, facilitating negotiation when required.
- Take leadership of the continuous improvement of the project governance process through inspection and adaptation.
- Accountable for the continued adherence to and promotion of the agreed methodologies within the project team.
- Own the end-to-end delivery process, managing revisions to project scope through an agreed change process.
- Identify opportunities for increasing customer satisfaction, process improvement and efficiency.
- Track and report project time and cost metrics, highlighting deviations and risks. Prepare project status reports for consumption by internal and external stakeholders.
The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- PMP Certification preferred
- 5+ years experience in software delivery or related consultancy, you will possess strong project management methodology knowledge and proficiency.
- 5+ years with proven track record in successfully guiding large technical teams to deliver software solutions within cost, quality, and time constraints.
- Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the entire Software Development Life Cycle. Familiarity with object-oriented design principles is a distinct advantage.

Pay range for this opportunity is $107,525.00 - $139,150.00. This position is eligible for bonus participation.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
