Online Advertising is one of the fastest growing businesses on the Internet today, and Microsoft Ads is considered one of the most important players in the world of Advertising business. Microsoft Ads covers all aspects of the online advertising and innovates rapidly to grow its share of this market by providing the advertising industry with a highly scalable platform that competes head to head with Google Advertising platform. Microsoft Advertising Campaign UI team is the development team responsible for the front end web sites used by online advertisers to create and manage their millions of ad campaigns. This team has very solid focus on customer satisfaction. We are on an ambitious journey to build new generation of Microsoft Ads UI and analytical platform. As a Software Engineering in the team, you will develop world class Web UI experience for our demand management platform as well as enable new Ads Product to advertisers. You will also leverage cutting-edge AI technologies and engineering productivity tools to modernize the product development lifecycle, improve developer velocity, and deliver customer value faster. Starting January 26, 2026, Microsoft AI (MAI) employees who live within a 50- mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S. or 25-mile commute of a non-U.S., country-specific location are expected to work from the office at least four days per week. This expectation is subject to local law and may vary by jurisdiction.



Responsibilities
  • Work closely with PMs, UX designers and partner teams to design and develop features from concept to release and live operations.
  • Quality and result driven in project execution.
  • Build metrics and monitor impact of features.
  • Drive AI-powered product innovation by integrating intelligent capabilities into customer experiences and leveraging AI-assisted development practices to improve engineering efficiency and product quality.
  • Be open and willing to learn new technology and to take challenges.
  • Help team to forge a sound engineering culture with growth mindset.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Solid CS fundamentals, solid inclination for architecting at scale. Excellent technical design, problem solving and debugging skills.
  • Proficient in data driven decision making, ability to build metrics to analyze business impact.
  • Outstanding coding experience with C#, JavaScript, HTML and/or CSS.
  • Experience with ReactJS and modern front end development environment is highly desirable.
  • Experience with data analysis and building metrics to measure business impact.
  • Experience leveraging AI-powered development tools and modern engineering practices to improve developer productivity, accelerate product development, reduce time-to-market, and enhance software quality throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Passion for applying AI-driven insights and capabilities to build innovative customer experiences, simplify complex workflows, and deliver impactful business outcomes.
  • Great team member and communicator.

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.
