About this role
Description
This role sits at the intersection of two high-impact charters: Amazon Registries, the #1 wedding and baby registry in the U.S. serving millions of customers, and Marketing AI transforming how thousands of marketers work through AI-native workflows. We are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager who can operate across both, driving execution on complex cross-functional programs while connecting the dots between them, specifically bringing AI capabilities into the Registries customer experience and marketing operations.
You will manage programs that span engineering, product, science, and marketing teams, ensuring we ship on time, remove blockers, and maintain visibility across senior leadership. You'll be equally adept running a Registries product launch as you are coordinating an AI adoption pilot across multiple marketing teams. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, moves fast, and sees the connective tissue between programs that others miss.
Key job responsibilities
• Drive end-to-end program execution across Registries and Marketing AI, managing dependencies, timelines, risks, and stakeholder communication
• Identify and act on opportunities to bring AI and generative AI capabilities into the Registries product experience (personalized recommendations, automated merchandising, AI-driven discovery)
• Coordinate across engineering, product, applied science, and marketing teams to deliver complex, multi-team programs on time and at quality
• Build and maintain program mechanisms: roadmap tracking, status reporting, escalation paths, and review cadences for senior leadership
• Connect the dots between teams and charters: surface shared learnings, reusable patterns, and integration opportunities that accelerate both programs
• Drive AI applications within Registries, partnering with the broader Marketing AI for Me initiative to apply playbooks, SOPs, and pilot frameworks
• Manage technical trade-offs and sequencing decisions in partnership with engineering leads; understand system architecture well enough to ask the right questions and unblock teams
• Communicate program status, risks, and decisions clearly to senior leadership through written narratives and verbal updates
• Build trust across multiple teams and organizations; influence without authority to keep programs moving in a matrixed environment
About the team
The Discovery Tech team helps customers discover and engage with new, popular, and relevant products across Amazon worldwide, combining technology, science, and creativity to build customer-facing features and tools for marketers. Within Discovery Tech, Amazon Registries is the #1 wedding and baby registry in the U.S., a high-traffic product used by millions every year. Our Marketing AI for Me initiative is transforming how thousands of marketers work through AI-native workflows. This TPM role bridges both, driving execution across Registries and Marketing AI while bringing generative AI capabilities into the registry experience.
