About this role
As a Senior Vendor Operations Specialist within the Enterprise Business Process Solutions Partner Transitions team, you will lead the migration of work from internal teams to external vendor partners for low to moderately complex initiatives. Working under general direction, you will manage end-to-end transition activities for these efforts while supporting larger, more complex transitions led by senior team members. You will partner with internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure effective knowledge transfer, operational readiness, and minimal disruption to business performance.
Responsibilities:
- Answers vendor and business partner questions about systems, processes, technology, and procedures
- Leads end-to-end transition activities for low to moderately complex migrations of processes or functions from internal teams to external vendors.
- Supports larger or more complex transition initiatives by managing defined workstreams and deliverables.
- Develops and maintains transition plans, timelines, milestones, and tracking tools to ensure execution stays on track.
- Coordinates with cross-functional stakeholders and vendor partners to align on transition activities, expectations, and timelines.
- Facilitates knowledge transfer by ensuring processes are documented, understood, and successfully adopted by vendor teams.
- Identifies risks and issues related to transitions and escalates or addresses them as appropriate.
- Tracks transition progress using defined metrics and provides regular status updates to stakeholders and leadership.
- Partners with vendors to support readiness activities, including training, process validation, and early-stage performance monitoring.
- Bachelor`s degree or equivalent experience/training and 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Claims and or Underwriting experience preferred
- Strong communication (oral & written) skills to effectively communicate with internal partners and external vendors.
- Strong research, problem solving, analytical, relationship management, and critical thinking skills. Solid understanding of business operations.
- Solid project management skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products

Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
